On-The-Job Training
The Kentucky Career Center JobSight network provides employers with valuable resources to recruit qualified employees from a variety of backgrounds and skill sets. These services include local and state initiatives to aid in recruitment, employer training programs, funding for training/assessments, and business retention/expansion efforts.
Financial Assistance for On-The-Job Training (OJT)
The benefits of the OJT program include:
Matching laid-off workers and unemployed adults with full-time job openings while providing financial assistance to employers
We will assist up to 50% of the trainee’s wages.
Job placement
Our centers can assist businesses with all details of the interviewing and hiring process. We can also help recruit workers from untapped populations, such as the under-employed, out-of-school youth, welfare recipients, veterans, and persons with disabilities.
Skills assessments
Through specialized computer programs, our centers have resources to assess job seekers and their skills in order to find a match for an employer’s specific needs.
Workforce training
Our centers provide funding for customized training at your workplace. Employers can access opportunities such as the Kentucky Workforce Investment Network System (KY WINS) through the Kentucky Community & Technical College System, among others, to gain skilled employees and additional funds for many training needs.
